Industry Experience

Explore Outdoor Co. was built on a simple belief: the person selling you a sauna, a greenhouse, or a canvas tent should understand it better than you do — and should be willing to talk you out of the wrong one.

What Our Background Means for You

Our founder spent more than a decade in retail merchandising and vendor management — working directly with manufacturers to evaluate quality, negotiate pricing, and decide what was worth putting in front of a customer. That work is the foundation of this store.

In practical terms, it means three things:

We hand-select what we carry. Every brand in our catalog was chosen deliberately. We're not a marketplace that lists anything with a margin attached — we carry products we'd be comfortable recommending to family.

We understand price, not just discounts. Working on the buying side taught us what actually drives cost: materials, build method, freight, warranty support. We use that to make sure what you pay reflects what you're getting.

We help you choose before you buy. High-ticket outdoor purchases are hard to undo. We'd rather spend twenty minutes helping you land on the right sauna, fountain, greenhouse, or tent than process a return on the wrong one.

The Brands We Carry — And Why

Leisurecraft. Canadian-built outdoor saunas and wellness structures with a reputation for solid woodworking and durable, weather-ready construction. They're built to live outside in a real climate — which matters here in the Pacific Northwest and anywhere else with a genuine winter.

Golden Designs. A broad, well-supported sauna lineup spanning traditional and infrared models at a range of sizes and price points. They earn their place because they make it possible for us to match a customer to the right sauna rather than pushing everyone toward a single option.

White Duck. Heavy-duty canvas tents and shelters built for people who actually camp in them repeatedly. The materials and stitching are a clear step up from mass-market nylon, and they hold up to season after season of use.

Exaco. Imported greenhouses, composters, garden structures, and fountains sourced from established European manufacturers. Exaco brings us build quality and design details that are genuinely hard to find in the domestic market. Their fountains in particular are as much about atmosphere as function — real material weight and finishes that age well outdoors — and we're glad to talk through pump sizing, placement, and winter care before you commit.

Questions We're Glad to Answer

  • Traditional or infrared — which sauna actually fits how I'll use it?
  • What size do I need for my space, my family, and my ceiling height?
  • What does freight delivery really involve, and what will I need to have ready?
  • Will this hold up outdoors year-round in my climate — and what happens to a fountain in a freeze?
  • What does assembly look like, and can I do it myself?

If you're asking these, you're asking the right ones.

Let's Find the Right Fit

You don't have to figure this out alone. Tell us your space, your budget, and how you plan to use it, and we'll help you narrow it down honestly — even if that means pointing you toward a smaller or less expensive option.

Contact us and let's talk it through.
